I graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School (I moved from Paris to Mt. Pleasant when I was in the 3^rd grade).  I attended East Texas State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications.  

I have a degree in English and Communications.  I am certified to teach K-6 and also have a certication for ESL.

I am married to Mark Lacey (who is a professor at Collin College in McKinney and a retired Mesquite Fireman).  I have two children.  Mitchell is 26 and is married to Emily.  He is in the Marine Corp stationed in Monterey, CA.  Abby is 24 and is an ICU nurse at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.  Mitchell and Emily have a son – James Anthony Lacey….and are expecting Arden Jude in October!!

I also have two step-sons:  Miles – who is married to Mary and has two beautiful children:Madeline and Mya

                                            Aaron – who is married to Baylee and has two children as well:  Masyn and Jaxon

Oh, by the way….I have a dog that I love so so much:   Teddy!!!
